Harry and Diane Rinker were honored as this year’s Outstanding Philanthropists at the Association of Fundraising Professionals tenth annual National Philanthropy Day awards luncheon in the Grand Ballroom at Agua Caliente Casino Resort & Spa. Eisenhower Medical Center was proud to nominate them. The Rinker’s commitment to excellence in quality of life is reflective of our mission. Their extraordinary acts of kindness, generosity, and good will have helped us continue to be the leading healthcare professionals in the Coachella Valley. Eisenhower celebrates 45 Years! On 1/16/16 Eisenhower Medical Center hosted its 45th Anniversary Gala – Dancing Through the Decades. The sold out event raised more than $2 million, thanks to our many generous donor sponsors, to fund the new da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System. The evening was filled with surprises, including a special appearance by the legendary Diana Ross. This video was part of the presentation reflecting on how Eisenhower Medical Center was built on philanthropy.

On Wednesday, December 16, 2015 Eisenhower Medical Center Foundation invited their 45th Anniversary Gala sponsors to an evening at Sunnylands to hear Dr. Khoi Le, MD, FACC, Cardiologist, Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center, speak on “Frontiers in Medicine” – words that will not soon be forgotten. Hear his personal journey from Vietnamese refugee to physician . Anne Rowe, Director of Collections & Exhibitions at the Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands, spoke of the personal impact of the Annenberg-Eisenhower friendship.

Philanthropy at Work

Eisenhower Medical Center’s legendary Ike Wing, the original hospital dedicated in 1971, was rededicated on Monday, November 16, 2015 in honor of Dennis and Phyllis Washington’s generous contribution to renovate and seismically retrofit the building. Other generous supporters stepped up to match the Washington gift raising the $30M needed for the project. See the dedication ceremony unveiling the beautiful new signage on the front of the hospital and hear Eisenhower’s leadership as they honor the people who made it all possible.

Healing Environment Enhanced by Chihuly Art

One of Eisenhower Medical Center’s supporting commitments is to provide a Healing Environment for all patients, visitors and staff. Through an incredibly generous donation by Eisenhower donor Madeline Redstone, the hospital upheld that commitment with its installation of Dale Chihuly's "End of the Day Boat”
